Songs aren't just background noise. They are prayers, emotions, goals, movement, and beats. Songs are found throughout all of nature. Simply open your window in the morning to hear the birds serenade or the buzz of the cicadas in the fall.

Songs combine the incredible power of the written word and the musical rhythm of life.

Author & songwriter, Whitni Baker Kostboth, has been writing songs since she was young. Despite her desire to always lift others up, some of her earliest songs were much darker than she cares to admit - BUT they poured from her fingertips and her lips freely when she needed an outlet, a way to express how she was feeling during those critical life moments when it seemed no one understood.

Just when the songs became desperate - the pleas written on the pages, written even deeper on Whitni's heart - the tune changed.

The melodies kept coming, and the words kept flowing, only this time when they began in desperation, they ended with hope. When the darkness of the lyrics of her life seemed too much to handle and she began putting those lyrics to melodies, her eyes would be opened to the love of Jesus, His unwavering support and her never-ending need of Him.

The next song planned for release is one Whitni wrote while she was in high school. Spoiler alert! It starts with the line "Life can be hard" and it ends with "I need you Jesus" just like the lives we all live.
